PlayUp christens sports lounge at Prudential Center

Officials with New Jersey’s newest online sports betting operator, PlayUp, unveiled the completely renovated PlayUp Sports Lounge within the Prudential Center this week in conjunction with the start of the NHL season.

The space is one of the center pieces to a long-term partnership with the New Jersey Devils and its ownership group Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HSBE), which also owns the Prudential Center. The PlayUp Sports Lounge is designed to be an interactive experience for fans to enjoy during pregame and intermission breaks.

Officials with the HSBE and PlayUp held an official ribbon cutting ceremony this week in conjunction with the commencement of the 2021-22 season for the Devils, the youngest team in the NHL and a team many observers have marked as a team on the rise and one to watch.

Daniel Simic, PlayUp Global CEO, said partnering with the Devils was a natural fit for an up and coming brand looking to make an impact in the competitive sports betting sector in New Jersey.

“Similar to the Devils, we are building something great in New Jersey. They are an exciting team to watch on the ice and their loyal fans create a great base for us to tap into in building our brand in the state.”

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced that the September sports betting handle topped $1 billion, making it one of the largest regulated sports betting markets in the world.
